This is to bring to your notice that my car insurance policy got expired in November 2017. However, due to some financial constraints I was not able to renew the policy by that time and necessary care was taken the car was not taken outside without insurance. In the month of January I tried to contact Policy bazaar for suitable policy and got in touch with them.
Their sales consultant got in touch with me and started discussing various policies for sometime and out of which one suitable policy was selected and paid for. However in due process to get in touch with the CCE the customer needs to go their homepage and enter some details, where I made a mistake unknowingly about the expiry date. Since my policy was assisted with the CCE and not self taken I have given all necessary policy documents to the CCE. After taking the policy I was informed since my policy is expired I need to make a self inspection video which I agreed as it was mandatory. My NCB percentage given to me was 35% based on previous policy which the CCE studied.
My first self inspection video got rejected however in the second attempt it was accepted. After buying the policy on 16th Feb I got the video approved by 6th March or so. One day after that I got a call from Policy Bazaar that I need to pay extra for the policy as the details entered are wring and my NCB percentage has some mismatch.
The main line of this complaint is that Policy Bazaar played a dirty tactic with me where they initially declare that there will be penalties if there is any mismatch of data. In my case I was cleary assisted by the CCE for that with the given documents from my end.
I am cheated as they are not relieving my policy document since submission of inspection video and saying that I need to pay the extra to get it done.
Since my car needs are mandatory I donot have the option to claim for refund and get another policy, I am settling with the extra amount. while communicating over this their Manager assured me that he will listen to the voice recordings and give justice to me, but when I requested for the voice recordings I was denied.
Today i.e. 14-03-2018 I had to connect forcefully with their team as after assurance from their Manager I was not contacted further. I pushed to get in touch with the sales guy and confront him directly and he clearly stated that it is my fault that I gave him wrong details and confirmed the same, when requested for voice recordings I was denied.
My question here is is it not the responsibility of the person or the sales guy to check the details before selling the insurance policy.
Their declaration is a business trick to lure more money by putting the fault to customer end where they are submitted all relevant documents.
Even in inspection video they ask for policy document, shouldn't they should ask for inspection video first and then sell the policy?
I had lost money and mental harassment by trusting on policy bazaar and since then I am not able to take out the car..
I am being forced to pay for the extra amount by their dirty business tricks.
The names of the concerned persons are as below:
1. Deepesh Chauhan- Sales guy who assisted me in buying the policy.
2. Sanjay Tanoja- their reporting manager
3. Shristi- who gave me false information that there are no repercussions for any delay in inspection video submission whereas it is mentioned that their shall be premium difference if there is any delay.
