Sub : Complaint regarding erroneous Bill for July 2020.
Sir,
I have received Bill of Supply for July 2020 showing consumption of Electricity of 3207 Units.
On scrutiny of the Bill I understand that
Meter Reading Date is 18.07.2020
Previous Meter Reading Date is 19.05 2020

I have called on No 19122 on 27.07.2020 and I mentioned my complaint of excess billing to Ms. Mansi who attended to me. She gave me complaint no 1027617310. She said I will receive a call from a senior person in 24 hours. I did not receive any call as assured.
I called again on 19122 on 28.07.2020 and was attended by Mr. Ronak Chauhan. I told him that as per assurance of Ms. Mansi yesterday I have not received any call from a senior person. He assured me he will organize a call back in sometime. I did not receive any call as assured.
I called again on 29.07.2020 on 19122 and this time I was attended by one Mr. Palash. To start with I told him that as per assurance received from Mr. Ronak and Ms. Mansi I have not received a call back. He told me it is because of work from home that it may be taking time. I asked him that if bill can be generated based on actual reading during lockdown then why can’t you call back in 24 hours as per your own promise and commitment. Mr. Palash admitted that as per data as seen by him there is excess billing. He informed me that what Ms. Mansi had given me is only an enquiry number and that he is recording my complaint now. He gave me Compliant no. 5602290758. He told me that I will get back a call in 24 hours. I requested to him that since I am not getting a call back from your senior person and since time is running out for me as payment is due on14.08.2020, you please put this bill on hold and that we can discuss when you are ready.
It is now 7.30 pm and I have still not received a call back from anyone.
On scrutiny of my Bill for April 2020 I understand that
Meter Reading Date is 18.04.2020
Previous Meter Reading Date is 20.03 2020
On scrutiny of my Bill for May 2020 I understand that
Meter Reading Date is 19.05.2020
Previous Meter Reading Date is 18.04 2020
This means all my Bills for, April, May and July 2020 are on the basis of actual meter reading.
The bill for July 2020 mentions consumption of 2516 units in June 2020. If the meter reading is taken on 18.07.2020 after 19.05.2020 how did the Company get the meter reading for June 2020 as 2516? Please explain
The meter reading for July 2020 is not mentioned anywhere in the bill of July 2020. The Bill for July 20 mentions total consumption of 3207 units and 2516 units for June 2020.
My consumption for the month of April 20 is 309 units and for May 2020 it is 330 Units. This means that during lockdown my consumption of electricity units has not gone up.
As per data available in my account on your website, form March 2019 to till May 2020 i.e. in a15 month period the maximum consumption is in June 2019 which is 861 units. Given my earlier usage, I fail to understand how my consumption can rise to 2516 units in June 2020?
I have not added one more room to my house. I have not increased the number of gadgets in my house. There is no increase in the number of persons in my house. How can the unit consumption go up by 3 times in June 2020 over 861 units in 2019, especially when unit consumption in June 2019 is the highest over a 15 month period from March 2019 to May 2020?
There is enough hardship and agony over the last few months of Covid 19. Why do you want to increase the hardship and agony of your law abiding customers?
